What and How Windows 8

Microsoft Windows 8 is the new Windows operating system after Windows 7, has a lot of changes at the interface compared to previous versions. Windows 8 was released to manufacturing on August 1, 2012 and go on sale to the public on October 26, 2012.

Windows 8 edition consists of: 1. Windows 8, 2. Windows 8 Pro, 3. Windows 8 Enterprise, 4. Windows RT

Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 is the second edition of which is sold directly to consumers. While Windows 8 Enterprise is aimed at organizations and large companies. Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8 and Windows RT available in 32 bit and 64 bit. Windows 8 Pro Pack is also available that will upgrade from the standard version of Windows 8 to Windows 8 Pro.

Windows RT, previously known as Windows on ARM or WOA, is the edition of Windows 8, which is made specifically for ARM devices. RT Windows only available to hardware makers for pre-installation and can only run software that is included in it or downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

Windows 8 requires the following minimum hardware specifications:
CPU: 1 GHz (with NX, PAE and support SSE2)
RAM: 1 GB (2 GB for 64-bit version)
Hard Drive: 16 GB free space (20 GB free space for 64-bit version)
VGA: GPU that supports DirectX 9 with a WDDM driver

Optical drive DVD  can support if  plan to install Windows 8 using DVD media. There are also some additional hardware requirements for Windows 8 when it is installed on the tablet.

Limitation Hardware Windows 8
Windows 8 32-bit version supports up to 4 GB of RAM. Windows 8 Pro 64 bit version supports up to 512 GB while Windows 8 (standard) 64 bit version supports up to 128 GB. Windows 8 Pro supports up to two physical CPUs and Windows 8 (standard) only supports 1 physical CPU. Overall, up to 32 logical processors supported by Windows 8 32-bit version, while 256 logical processors supported by 64 bit version.

Windows 8 servide Pack
Currently there is no Service Pack is available for Windows 8. When Microsoft released the first service pack for Windows 8 within the same time as they did in previous versions of Windows, Windows 8 SP1 service pack may be present at the beginning of 2014.

Windows 8 will ultimately have a replacement as well, probably Windows 9 in 2014 or 2015. Windows Blue is also rumored to be present in 2013, though it may not be the latest OS but Windows Blue will provide a major update for Windows 8 includes new features and improvements.
