What Are The Operating System Used Tablet ?

Understanding simple and easy on the Operating System, also called OS on the tablet (or computer) is a program that manages the hardware resources tablet. Without an operating system, the tablet can not be used and only a box of electronic components.

Operating Systems are included in one package with the computer system, the Operating System acts as an intermediary between application programs and the computer hardware.

Operating Systems perform all important tasks in the computer, and ensure that different applications can run simultaneously smoothly. Operating System ensure other applications can use the memory, input and output to other equipment, and have access to the file system.

Along with the development of Operating Systems, more and more services become the core public service. Now, the Operating System may need to provide network and Internet connection, which was not a common core services. Operating Systems also need to keep the damage to a computer system from interference destructive programs from other computers, such as viruses. List of common core services will continue to grow.

Some Operating Systems are very large and complex, and their input depending on the user input, while the other Operating Systems are very small and are made with the assumption that work without human intervention at all.

The major Operating Systems that use computers (including PCs, tablets) is divided into 3 major groups:

Family of Microsoft Windows - which is comprised of the Windows Desktop Environment (version 1.x to version 3.x), Windows 9x (Windows 95, 98, and Windows ME), and Windows NT (Windows NT 3.x, Windows NT 4.0 , Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 (Seven), which was released in 2009, and reliable as an operating system for tablets is Windows 8.

Unix family of operating systems that use the POSIX interface, such as SCO UNIX, families BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution), and GNU / Linux. The development of the operating system which is now popularly used for the tablet is Android.

Mac OS, an operating system for Apple's computers which is called Mac or Macintosh. The newest operating system is Mac OS X version 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Last is the Mac OS X version 10.7 (Lion).

In the tablet device, the operating system most widely used are:

1. Apple iOS

This operating system released by Apple which was originally used for the iPhone but later developed for the production of Apple's tablet computer known as the iPad.

2. Android

Android is an open operating system (open source) that was first developed by Android Inc. In 2005 the company was bought by Google. In order to develop a tablet computer operating system Google Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the latest version of Android known as Jelly Bean.

3. Windows

Microsoft's Windows operating system, Windows 8 is the latest version of the reliable for tablet computers.

4. Palm webOS

WebOS operating system used on tablet computers HP (Hewlett-Packard), namely HP TouchPad. The operating system is based on Linux, developed by Palm. On August 18, 2011, HP stopping use of this operating system.

5. QNX Software Systems

Once purchased by RIM in 2010, the operating system used on the BlackBarry Tablet : PlayBook
